NYCN Dissolves Sokoto Excos, Appoints Caretaker Committee Headed By Bello Shagari

The National Youth Council of Nigeria  (NYCN) has dissolved the leadership of Sokoto State chapter of NYCN under the leadership of Alh. Aliyu Ibrahim Gadanga.

This is contained in a statement issued to the press, signed by the Council President, Comrade Murtala Muhammad Garba.

The statement said, ” I write in respect the petition which we received at the National Headquarters against the Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Sokoto State Chapter which is dated 27th July, 2017″

“The petition contained a number of allegations which are violation of the constitution of the National Youth Council of Nigeria as amended 2012”.

“In view of thereof, I hereby render the appointment of the current Chairman of NYCN Sokoto State Chapter, Alh. Aliyu Ibrahim Gadanga and his Exco null and void in respect to the constitution of the NYCN.”

The statement further said, “Meanwhile, we have constituted a caretaker committee to continue carrying out the activities of the NYCN and also organise an electoral committee prepare and hold an open ballot election in the period of Ninety days in compliance with the NYCN constitution”.

The caretaker committee members are;

Abdurrahman Umar Aliyu – Secretary
Abubakar Salame – Member
Suleiman Mahmud Tijjani – Member
Sanusi Sarki – Member
Jamilu Sani – Member
Nura Mahe – Member
Nasir Bazza – Member
Fahad Longman – Member
Hajaru Abdullahi Baba – Member

The President of the NYCN call for the cooperation in recognising the newly named members of the Caretaker Committee to carryout the assignment successfully.
