“I wish to extend my special gratitude to the good people of Kaduna State for their massive turn-out at the rally I organized to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari back home from medical vacation.
I was overwhelmed with joy that the people massively responded to my invitation (in less than 48 hours) to actively participate in the rally. By respecting the short notice, our dear people demonstrated their love for our President and showed their appreciation for the good work of Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufai’s administration in Kaduna State. It is abundantly clear that Kaduna State has so far recorded the largest turn-out for solidarity rallies for the President’s safe return to Nigeria. On the other hand, Kaduna has always been a formidable base for our President for decades.
It is obvious that the unprecedented success recorded by the Kaduna solidarity rally rattled some political interest groups and their political relevance now stands seriously threatened. Frightened by the active participation of the mass majority of our people in the event, the group has resorted to social media campaign against the rally. They assumed they can rewrite history.
I’m seizing this opportunity to call on the good people of Kaduna State not to be distracted by the negative campaigns on the sidelines; to maintain their solidarity and loyalty to our President and our hardworking Governor. May God reward you all for your steadfastness and loyalty to our cause. Thank you once more.”
